In 1789 Thomas Malthus, English cleric and scholar, studied the nature and gist of population growth. He argued that the population growth was faster than the rate of food production and thus it would lead to global starvation. According to the most recent United Nations estimate elaborated by Worldometers, the current world population is 7.5 billion. Overpopulation is an objectionable condition which the number of human population expands faster than the Earth’s capacity. It occurs when any harmful gases, dust, smoke enters into the atmosphere and makes it difficult for plants, animals and humans to survive. Since the creation of the Clean Water and Clean Air Acts, significant improvements have been made to the overall water and air quality.
